Born on the 1st of January 1956, Capt. Mishra was an epitome of enterprises, leadership and humbleness. He hailed from a small town of Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha, where he grew up with his three siblings.
At the age of 26 he cleared his Masters in the Merchant Navy becoming one of the youngest captains (ex. Rajendra) of Odisha at that time.
After sailing extensively for 8 years, he decided to move back to his home state, Odisha. He joined OSL Group as the first director of the Company and enforced his effluent guidance in the steady growth of the group till 2001.
He started DKM SURVEYORS in 1986 and shaped and groomed it with his dynamic vision, experience and knowledge of the Maritime and Cargo ships for the last 36 years.
He was a highly enterprising man and a diligent entrepreneur. Along with the Surveyor firm, he also made his mark in the field of Art and Culture with his company MADHYAM ART, one of the leading Production and Advertising houses in Odisha.
He started Milan Trading a 20 year old Superstock Firm at Odisha with major brands like Perfetti, Emami, Rupa garments, Tata Livguard, and Pegeon Home Appliances to name a few. He started MPHP Pvt. Ltd. a Real Estates Firm having landed assets in over 5 states across the country. He started the Moksh Enterprises, a leading hospitality chain of Odisha. He is also the founder of Phoenix India Refinary, a FO Refinery which has the capacity of production of 12000mt tons of FO in a single year.
His famous quote "Always plan for the next generation and not for the next fiscal year” shall be imbibed by his next of kin and many more generations to come. He will always be remembered as a great enthusiast, entrepreneur, leader, caregiver, and visionary.
Capt. Dilip Kumar Mishra had started his own survey Company about two decades back.
Even though he had been carrying the survey in & around Paradip etc. with his charming personality and honest job carried out by him. He has climbed the ladder very fast in tandom with the business improvement in Odisha State itself.
Hence he had a big manpower to rush for any type of Shipping jobs.

We have just made an earnest beginning with a group of experienced professionals in the field of Insurance Survey headed by Chief Executive Officer Er. Jagat Krushna Patnaik (NAV ARCH, FIIISLA, FIIV),
He is a Naval Mechanical Engineer having 36 years of experience in the field of Insurance Claims.
During his tenure at Indian Navy he has acquired a vast knowledge on Marine Hull and cargo of different ships.
1986-96 - He was the Principal Surveyor with M/s. J.B. Boda Surveyors and was responsible for doing survey/inspection for Insurance & Shipping Industry. Looked after major projects viz.,
a. Nalco Smelter, Alumina Plants & their Captive Power Plant.
b. BHEL/ABB – Super Thermal Power Projects at Kaniha and Talcher.
c. National Hydroelectric Power Corporation.
d. P & I Clubs related casualty’s investigation to ship.
e. Causalities related to Insurance claims of fishing Trawlers. Dredger, ship.
1996-2002
a. Gen. Manager & Principal Surveyor Oman Loss Assessing Co. LLC, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
Looked after various Insurance claims related to Hull & Cargo in Sultanate of Oman & UAE.
2003-2006
Worked with M/s J.B Boda Surveyor & Loss Assessor as Principal Surveyor at Mumbai and was responsible for Reliance Telecom project all over India also had been doing major Hull claim.
2006-2009
Worked as G.M & Principal Surveyor with M/s Cunnigham Lindsey International Pvt. Ltd. at Bhubaneswar looking after major steel plants project survey for Bhusan Steel & Power, VISA Steels, Jindal Power & Steel and major damage to ship & Cargo for underwriters.
2009-2011
Worked with Wilson Surveyor & Adjuster Pvt. Ltd.(Lloyd’s Agents) as G.M and Principal surveyor. Looked after major claims in various plants and machineries falling under Marine Cargo, Engineering & Fire departments of Insurance, Hull & Machinery claims etc.
2011-2021
Worked with McLarens surveyor & Loss Assessors Pvt. Ltd. till December 2021.

CMA. Prasanjit Mohanty, Director, having license in Fire, Miscellaneous & LOP. Within six years of short span of Survey experience he has done Survey & Loss Assessment for damages suffered under Fire, Miscellaneous and LOP claims for various companies and individuals. He has also acted as nourishment to the insured during insurance Claims, Quality & Quantity Survey. Lashing & loss prevention survey, reviewed the personal and business asset’s risk coverage and insurance documents before or after insurance. Minimize and precise your errors before or after taking any risk coverage.
